Mahaya was born from a simple truth: the earth remembers. It remembers every season, every harvest, every act of care, and every act of neglect. In its memory lives the truth that regeneration is not a concept - it is a relationship. A way of returning what we have taken and tending to what allows us to live.
Across India’s villages, generations of women have carried deep ecological wisdom about how to compost, ferment, shape, save, and renew. Mahaya exists to honour this knowledge, strengthen it, and turn it into economic opportunity.
We work with communities that see soil not as material, but as memory, transforming what is overlooked into solutions that restore both land and livelihoods.
